Since Trotters opened on the Kings Road in London back in 1990, we have prided ourselves on being THE destination for evocative British accessories, first outfits and layers for new arrivals. The Lapinou Collection encompasses these thoughtfully designed and beautifully crafted pieces from the very first day through to almost toddling! All year round, Lapinou welcomes a new generation to the world of Trotters.

Sophie’s special memory that sparked the collection

When Sophie, our Founder, was a little girl she had a pet bunny that she cuddled, looked after and loved to pieces. Her name for the rabbit was Bebe Lapinou, and so a hand drawn, snoozing bunny rabbit and the name Lapinou felt personal and heartfelt as the name for our newborn collections.

Yarns, fabrics and mixes for ultimate softness

Organic cotton onesies are kind to delicate skin, and easy to pop on and off, striped, or delicately patterned, and often with embroidered characters such as Augustus, Duck, and Guardsman.

Knits are just perfect for layering on and off with ease to keep babies at the right body temperature. Explore our Teddy coats, sweaters, and matching cardigans and leggings sets, in soft wool and cashmere mixes. The leggings often feature an adorable little friend in intarsia detail on the bottom, prompting smiles for the grown-ups at all those diaper changing times!

Made with love and an eye for detail

As a little, luxurious extra touch – all knitted pieces in the Lapinou Collection feature a pearlized branded button. As the weather turns chillier, consider our luxurious 100% cashmere blankets, sourced from Italian cashmere and produced with our long-stand Portuguese manufacturers with intricately knitted lace trim edges.

These are wonderful gifts and can be paired with baby booties, hats and mittens to create a thoughtful present.

Gift boxes and bundles

Our character gifting sets that have been bestsellers every season - don’t tell, but our favorites are baby blue Hugo, and baby pink Bunny (of course!).

For autumn 2025 we have also introduced a beautiful, knitted blanket with the iconic mummy and baby bunny design, in the softest pink and blue colorways. This comes in a gift box with the option on the inside to write personal details of the new arrival, baby’s name and weight etc – a perfect gift for a newborn, in in a keep-forever box.
