MADE IN BRITAIN SINCE 1952
Founded in 1952 by two brothers, Tony & Michael started the brand by cutting shoes out by hand in their parents’ house. Over the years the brand has grown and adapted but is still proud to be a family run business with a strong belief in UK manufacturing. Made in Britain, our best-selling range of pre-walkers are made with soft leather uppers, flexible soles and are the perfect introduction to footwear offering support and protection.
Early Days is founded by Tony & Michael in their parents’ house.
1952
The business is moved into a small unit and employs 3 staff..
1953
Michael’s sons joined the business and it expanded to employ over 100 people producing 10,000 pairs of shoes per week.
1980s
The company is now run by Michael Bolton’s two sons, Paul & Chris.
2000s
New ‘Leather Collection’ is launched which garnered great acclaim and was an instant success.
2013
Prince George was spotted regularly wearing the ‘Leather Collection’.
2014
Lovingly crafted, each component of our Early Days first and pre-walkers is pieced together by hand. From stitching the upper, to fixing the buckle and inserting the insole, you can have confidence in the care and attention to detail that goes into making each and every pair.
